Dinner For Four

We had a very nice dinner this evening: homemade ricotta/spinach ravioli with tomato sauce and Italian sausages, meatballs and pork; fresh grated Reggiano Parmigiano; olives; red wine. Dinner music was late night jazz via YouTube.

There was enough for four, but we couldn't invite two friends, so it was dinner for two. Later we walked up the street (actually up the arroyo) and delivered dinner for two to neighbors John and Randy.

We hope to be able to have people to dinner once again...someday. Stay healthy, be safe.

Looks like a great meal, and a great treat for your neighbors.
We all make do in this new normal!

Stay safe.

OMG the ravioli looks scrumptious! I can almost smell it from here.

i loved your beautifully plated dinners. we were using Russ's blog to keep a record of our Sunday meals for a while. but right now seems a lot is up in thew air. i wish i could make pasta ive tried all sorts of recipes , tutorials even have a pasta press and when i cook it it still is not tender and comes out unevenish (for lack of a better word). all your food sounds lovely and yummy, and i enjoyed the read as well. Thanx

I suggest the YouTube video series "Pasta Grannies" which showcases many different techniques and recipes for making pasta - mostly by elderly Italian women all over Italy. (The series is British produced).
My ravioli came out too thick - and thus a bit tough. I think I was afraid to make the dough too thin, but if it is made correctly, it will not break or tear, so thinner is better.
