An Early Taste of Winter

Actually it's more like a full course meal. Ice, snow, wind, shoveling, scraping, hats, gloves, coats and boots. This is why we left Connecticut. The State of New Mexico had us believe that this wintery stuff stays in the mountains and ski areas. Major deception. We thought last winter was a fluke. Apparently not. And it's only October.

Our first year here we had Thanksgiving dinner outdoors in the sunshine and warmth and I picked tomatoes for the salad. We thought that would be the norm...

Global warming? Climate change? The Weather Jokester?

Hopefully we'll be in shorts and t-shirts next week.

But Benni just loves it! (click on "YouTube" to view full screen)

(I don't know if it's blogger or YouTube but you can't open the video to full screen. Anyone know how to fix that? Also Blogger is VERY quirky on Safari, I now have to use Firefox to do anything right)

It looks like Benni was trying to get a stick for you to throw. He looks so happy. The snow is beautiful to see, especially how it looks where you live... and from where I sit at 8 p.m. and 65 degrees.

OMG you guys believed the tourist ads? Though to my flatlander way of thinking, you are up in the mountains there. At least Benni seems to enjoy the white stuff.

Not sure why your video won't open in full screen on blog, but if you click on the words "YouTube" it opens on the YT page and you can full-screen it there.

Yes, the YouTube link is the only way to get full screen; was hoping there was another fix.

We do have altitude here. But to go from mid 80s to 17 degrees almost overnight is a shocker.
