Just got back from Santa Fe Pride. The general consensus was that it was likely the longest parade and largest Pride street festival ever in Santa Fe.
Yes, there were more commercial entries and non-LGBTQ non-profits represented, including the Bureau of Land Management (my hubby, the Park Ranger was there all happy and proud telling folks about hiking trails and wild places!).
Seems everyone wants to get a piece of the Rainbow.
Not the Pride of the 80s and 90s and the music sure wasn't classic disco.
It wouldn't be Santa Fe without some cowboys and cowgirls on horseback. It's ALL OK. It was festive and exuberant.
After these past years of COVID and republican hate laws, I really need this. I'm glad the gays stole the rainbow from God!

Overheard at Pride: Guy: I want to go after my plumber, he's so hot. And the dry wall guy is even hotter.

Thanks for all the great photos! Looks like a wonderful time -- lots of marchers, floats, balloons and rainbows! I like the banners "Draw The Circle Wide" and "Lez Go NM". Great shot of Leon too, very handsome in his Park Ranger uniform -- bet all the Yogi Bears wanted to be near him!
This looks like the kind of Pride Parade I would enjoy. And plumber and dry wall guy, too.
Whee, what fun! Enjoy it while Pride is still legal.
We have been to only one Pride event here, that was 4 years ago. Then covid struck, and there was nothing for the last 3. This year, we didn't even think to check to see if anything was planned. I see from the intertubes that there was some kind of downtown festival (no parade or concert) a few weeks ago. We totally missed it. Oh well.
Glad you guys got out - Leon looks great in his ranger suit!
