"A biilion year old carbon." Well, thanks for posting this vid with the lyrics. There've always been some parts of that song I never could make out.
Did you see him perform at Woodstock? I saw CS&N in concert much later, about 1978 I think. GREAT concert. Having left my fundamentalist church, I was ricocheting in the other direction and for a little while I was ready for the 60's - grew my hair down to my shoulders, among other things.
But alas, by that time the 60's were long passe', disco was king, and the Reaganite reaction was about to begin. But the music lives on.
