The weather here was cold and raw today so after a brisk walk...well maybe not so brisk as my knee was acting up and very stiff and sore...hubby and I sat down in front of the TV and binge watched the entire eight episodes of the series The Recruit on Netflix.
CIA intrigue, a dash of comedy (well not exactly comedy, maybe humor) here and there and suspense, and an addictive story and characters.
Noah Centineo as Owen was superb and cute as well.
Its almost 10pm now so I'm keeping this short.
But here's a trailer for Glass Onion which we watched the other night.

We found Glass Onion a diversion but not at the level we had hoped with such an exceptional cast. Thanks for your review of The Recruit. I had wondered if this was worth adding to our list. If you enjoyed a binge watch, it sounds like it is.
This week My Rare One and I will be watching Guillermo del Toro's new version of "Pinocchio." Looking forward to that -- I love his movies and view of the world!
Mitch, I agree about Glass Onion. Entertaining but rather a hokey "who done it".

If you liked Bill Fairclough’s epic spy thriller Beyond Enkription in The Burlington Files series about a rookie accountant working for MI6 and the CIA you may like The Recruit by Alexi Hawley about a rookie CIA lawyer (Noah Centineo). The plots are quite complicated in both productions but unlike The Recruit, The Burlington Files plots and characters are real, credible and much more intriguing. However, do remember Beyond Enkription is a fact based novel about a real spy called Bill Fairclough (MI6 codename JJ) aka Edward Burlington. He was one of Pemberton’s People in MI6 and worked with real SAS Rogue Heroes and other ungentlemanly officers as explained in a news article dated 31 October 2022 available from TheBurlingtonFiles website.
