I never saw or heard of Gardner McKay or the series until now. But oh my . . . I do see why you liked him!
Probably the first man who caught my attention - although dimly, as I was only 5 or 6 - was the studly, swashbuckling Guy Williams (The Prince and the Pauper, Zorro).
