More death, more wounded, more grieving, more funerals. Is there anything left of our hearts to go out to the victims and their loved ones, to the people of Las Vegas, to America? It is not enough, it has never been enough to offer condolences, or prayers or heartfelt concerns.
It is time to be clear: Blood is on the hands of the NRA and on the hands of too many Congresspersons who have repeatedly refused to address the issues of gun violence and assault weapons in the hands of citizens. Shame. And blood is on the hands of this president who supports the NRA and its absurd interpretation of the 2nd Amendment. Shame.

I agree, Frank.
But there's an even larger picture to consider. The sane, sensible middle ground between left and right has all but disappeared - how do we get back to the wholesome via media between extremes? And this applies to all Western countries, not just ours, though we Americans as usual seem to be doing a spectacular job of self-destruction.
And even bigger than that is the corruption of manners, morals, and sensibility that has been going on for a long, long time now. We have been steadily desensitized to the thought of violence, murder, and horror in all forms of media. The cable listings are a litany of murder, rape, mayhem, Mafia, Nazis, and every kind of horror. Does that flood of violence have *no* effect on society?
And why will "liberal" people not even engage in a conversation about that?
There are proximate causes, and there are remoter, but still potent causes to every action. And guilt a-plenty to go around, left and right, if one takes a wide enough view.
Will anything ever change? And now the NRA (and politicians) are trying to protect the constitutional right to use silencers on guns. Oh, but I'm sorry; Sarah Huckabee Sanders says now is not the time to talk about the this.
@Mitchell
Just like in the days following 9/11 they said it wasn't the time to talk about terrorism ... oh wait, that didn't happen.
Less than a month later and all is forgotten: no gun control legislation, status quo. The dead are buried, the loved ones grieve, the rest of us go on with life and nothing has changed.
