A Little Color on a Winter Day
The Bird of Paradise has blossomed again - the last time was in 2009. Don't know if it is just a cyclical thing or something I did - plant food, repotting, change of location.

You've got the magic touch. I've never known anyone who could get these to bloom at home in a pot.
It seems to thrive under utter neglect. Forget to water it for weeks at a time, leave it outdoors almost till frost, stick it in a dark corner in the winter. Turn around one day and there's a blossom.
