I LOVE THIS! My father's best friend had been in the US Navy and came home with a few big tattoos. 40 years later, the anchor was buried in the seabed; the mermaid's boobs were down where her knees would have been had she had knees; and the battleship that had begun mid-torso had sunk below his navel.

That's when I decided against getting a tattoo.

LOL! This is one thing I don't have to worry about.

I've noticed at the gym there's hardly a person under the age of 40 without one (or more.)

I just love the ones with Chinese characters. I'm sure they came straight off the Chinese menu and that the guys that have them don't have a clue what they say. I can LOL at that.

One also sees Arabic and Hebrew tattoos and one wonders what they are saying. I heard the story of a diplomat who bought his wife an antique bracelet in China. When she showed it to a friend he translated the Chinese, "For my favourite concubine"! She never wore it again!
