Florida Wednesday

Spent the morning helping the ladies do errands then off to Pass-a-grille Beach.  Or as Leon tried to recall it, Passover Grill Beach.  It was quite windy nod chilly there today and also quite dead.  Hardly a soul in sight, a few people fishing on the pier, a few  brave tourists walking on the beach against a gale.

A message to all my readers:

A nice cottage

I think this gay friendly place is now just rich friendly.

Funky art
We then went to Gulfport, just south of St. Petersburg.  Much more my style.  A little laid back, a little artsy, some cafes and restaurants and cheaper housing.  Talked to a coffee shop proprietor from back home whose been here since the 70's.  He told us about the cost of flood insurance, wind insurance and general home owners insurance, if indeed you can get it.  Not a pretty picture.  Makes us appreciate what we have back home, even if we have to shovel snow five months year....

  1. Looks like you guys are having a good time in FL. It's nice to visit different places and get away from the old routine, but as you say, it also helps us appreciate home, too.

Also, I can really relate to your "rich-friendly" comment. We've been seeing a lot of that in Colorado, with the wealthy people buying up the prime areas and fencing everyone else out. I wonder if I would do the same if I had lots of money. Won't ever have to worry about that!!!

Keep on having fun. Love the pics!

  2. Ditto what Gary said, great pics, keep 'em coming.

You guys should go back in the summer when the beaches are full of half-nekkid men . . . .

  3. No need; we have full nekkid-men on some of our beaches.

  4. Cool! Now be sure to take pics this summer and post them . . . .
